The Ivorian could be looking at a lengthy suspension because of an unprofessional display at the end of Wednesday night's clash...Despite being subbed off midway through the second half, Didier Drogba was amongst the first people to reach the referee and question his motives after the final whistle was blown at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona snuck past Chelsea to punch their ticket to the Champions League final in Rome in a highly controversial encounter in London. Decisions made during the game could have proved pivotal to the success of both teams, but Drogba felt that his Blues were more hard done by as the referee waved away several penalty claims.
The Ivorian was so furious with the decisions made by Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo that he angrily confronted the official, pointing fingers in his face and stating that he was a disgrace.
AFP London has reported that Drogba's antics could earn him a lengthy ban from European football, claiming that the match official's decisions will not be brought into question regarding the behaviour of a professional footballer.
Further adding to the list of indiscretions, the 31-year-old screamed into a nearby television camera that the whole scenario was a "f**king disgrace", which UEFA will take into consideration when deciding the striker's fate.
